Behind the Scenes: What Happens at a Colour Analysis Event?

If you’ve ever been curious about colour analysis but weren’t sure what to expect, my colour analysis events are the perfect introduction! These fun and interactive sessions provide a taster of how colour can transform your wardrobe and boost your confidence, all in a group setting.

Last week, I was invited to The Aviary Restaurant in Hessle, so I thought I’d share an insight into what goes on! Head on over to YouTube to watch the video, or read on for details. There are more colour events taking place, or you can even host your own. See a behind-the-scenes video of the evening here.

What is a Colour Analysis Event?

A colour analysis event is designed to be a fun, engaging, and informative experience. It’s ideal for those who want to explore colour analysis before committing to a full consultation. The aim of colour analysis is to create harmony and balance between your features and what you wear—be that your clothes, makeup, or accessories. They can be large events, like the one featured, or smaller, more intimate ones.

Here’s a glimpse into what happens during an event:

  • A Warm Welcome – Guests arrive and settle in, ready for an enjoyable session. You’ll hear all about the impact of colour and how beneficial it can be.
  • Introduction to Colour Analysis – I’ll explain the basics of how colour analysis works, using my tonal colour analysis method, and introduce you to the six colouring types.
  • Demonstrations and Discovery – Depending on the type of event, volunteers from the audience will showcase how different colours can enhance your natural features, or cast unflattering shadows. At some events, you may discover your dominant colour type and take away a guide or set of swatches.
  • Exclusive Offer – As a thank you, guests receive a money-off voucher to use towards my Complete Colour Analysis Consultation in the studio.

Taking Colour Analysis Further: What’s Next?

A colour analysis event is a great introduction and starting point to use colour to enhance your personal style and confidence. But there’s so much more to discover! A full colour analysis consultation goes much deeper.

During your personalised session, you’ll discover your full colour palette of 48 shades—including neutrals and accent colours—along with expert guidance on how to wear and combine them. You’ll also enjoy a makeup application in your best shades and take home a lipstick, plus a guide to the latest colours you’ll find in the shops. A colour analysis consultation is a 2-hour, in-depth experience tailored to help you feel more confident and look your best.
